Home Delivered Meals -
For seniors 60 and over who are homebound, a daily visit on Monday through Friday from the home delivery drivers not only brightens their day, but also provides them with a hot nutritious lunch, and for some, a cold meal for dinner. Frozen meals are delivered at the end of the week for the weekend. This used to be a service with a very limited service area, but that has changed with delivery by CoA staff now available throughout St. Clair County.
Meals are available to homebound seniors 60 and over regardless of their income. The suggested donation per meal is $2.00.
For more information, or to arrange for meal delivery for yourself or an acquaintance call 987-8811 or 1-800-297-0099.
Congregate Meals - On Monday through Friday seniors ages 60+ throughout St. Clair county can partake of a hot meal served at one of the eight congregate meal sites. These eight meal sites offer seniors a chance to enjoy a delicious, low sodium meal which meets one third of an individual's nutritional needs, while in the company of friends. In order to better serve the county, seniors are asked to make a reservation at the meal site they would like to attend by 1:00 PM the day before. The meals are available to all seniors 60 and over and their spouses regardless of income. The suggested donation for a meal is $2.00. The meal sites are located at:

Holiday Meals on Wheels - Many of our county's seniors have a hot, nutritious meal delivered to their homes each weekday. But did you know that delicious home delivered meals are available on three holidays throughout the year?
The Senior Nutrition Program, in cooperation with the Area Agency on Aging 1-B and our many dedicated volunteers, distribute meals on Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter. The menu for each meal includes traditional holiday fare, such as a Thanksgiving meal which could include turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, candied yams, cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie. The delicious holiday meals are prepared by staff, packaged for pick-up, and delivered countywide by cheerful volunteers. Area Agency on Aging 1-B provides funds and donations, which help to make these holiday meals possible. The only requirement to receive a meal is that the recipient must be 60 years if age or older and have no other resources for a special meal on the holiday.
To reserve a holiday meal, or to sign up as a volunteer, please call the Senior Nutrition program office at 982-4400 or 1-800-297-0099.
