Book Club will meet on July 1 at 1:00 p.m. at Figaro's and discuss A Gathering of Secrets by Linda Costello. On August 5 at 1:00 p.m. we will meet at Ocean Breeze and discuss Belle Canto by Ann Pachett.

MSU Extension Classes with Carol on Mondays from 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. No charge to attend the classes.

Diamond Art Craft Sunflower on Wednesday, July 9 from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon. Only 8 seats available. The cost is $10 and includes all the supplies.

CPR/AED Training with Keith Walter on Wednesday, July 16 from 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. How to recognize life-threatening emergencies, steps for performing CPR, AED training andmore. Keith is a retired Captain/Paramedic of the Marysville Fire Department with almost 40 years of service in fire and EMS. He is an Instructor Coordinator that has taught several topics over many disciplines.

Improving Your Memory with Sue Armstrong on Tuesday, July 22 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. The cost is $10.

Huron Lady Cruise on Wednesday, July 23. Boarding begins at 12:40 p.m. Sailing time is 1:00 p.m. Deadline to register is July 3. The cost is $27.

Stroke Awareness and Prevention presented by LHMC on Friday, July 25 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Empowering seniors with knowledge on stroke signs, risk factors, and when to seek immediate care.

Singles Mingle for Seniors on Friday, July 25 from 2:30-4:00 p.m. Are you single, age 55+, a CoA member, and interested in meeting others in the same situation? If yes, join us for this gathering to learn about each other.

Pre-planning Your Final Wishes presented by Grace Memorial on Tuesday, July 29 from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon. Receive information and instructions to shelter loved ones from emotional and financial burden with funeral preplanning. This meeting will help guide you and your loved ones to organize one's final wishes.

Let's Learn about Medicare with Patrick Lanthier on Wednesday, July 30 from 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Join this informational class to learn about Medicare. Lunch will be provided. Registration is due by July 25.

AUGUST

Peace of Mind presented by St. Clair County Community Mental Health on August 13 from 10:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Participants will leave with practical tools, local resources, and a renewed understanding that it's never too late to take care of your mind--and that asking for support is a sign of strength, not weakness.

Reinvention Seminar, 5 Easy Steps Using the Personal Reinvention System with Dr. Frank Jenio, Ph. D on August 20 from 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. The $35 presentation fee also includes a copy of his book Don't Retire: Reinvent Yourself.

Texas Roadhouse Fundraiser on August 21. The Port Huron Senior Center will receive 10% of the total sales the fundraiser brings in excluding alcohol sales. This includes anyone who brings in the flyer in the newsletter, mentions the fundraiser, or shows their server the Facebook post.

The History of Port Huron Trolley Tour with the Port Huron Museum on August 27 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. The cost is $15 per person.

Ice Cream Social on August 29 from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon. Come enjoy some ice cream and enjoy time with friends. The cost is $2. Please register and pay by August 22.
