APRIL

Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon will be on April 26 at 12:30 p.m. If you are a volunteer, please sign up to attend by April 18.

Spring Flower Fundraiser orders are due on April 15. For more information or an order form, call the center at 810-395-7889.

Trip to Sandusky to the Mennonite Store on April 22nd.  The bus will leave at 9:30 a.m. from the center. You can purchase your lunch at the Mennonite Cafe. Call 810-395-7889 to reserve your seat on the bus.

PLARN. Join us on Wednesdays at 10:00 a.m. to cut and tie plastic bags together to make PLARN (mats for the homeless). Feel free to bring clean plastic bags with you.

Paint with Stacey on April 5th at 1:30 p.m. The cost is $12.

Bunco on Thursday, April 11th at 1:30 p.m.

Zumba/Zumba Toning is on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9:30 a.m. The cost is $15 for the month.

Chair Exercise Classes will be on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 11:00 a.m. $1 suggested donation per class. Strength training can help improve overall health and longevity. It is one of the best ways to keep your muscles strong and can preserve independence and energy as you age.

Diamond Painting - Butterfly on a Stick on May 1 at 10:00 a.m. Cost is $2. Call to reserve your spot for the class.

Bus trip to Country Smokehouse in Almont and lunch (TBA) on May 20. The bus leaves the Capac Center at 9:30 a.m. and will be back at the center by 2:30 p.m. Call 810-395-7889 to reserve your seat on the bus.

Lakeshore Legal Aid will be available on May 21 at 12:00 noon. Lakeshore Legal Aid is a not-for-profit law firm providing a range of free civil legal services to people who are low income, older adults and survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault in our communities.

Eat Healthy-Be Active starts on May 10 at 1:30 p.m. This is a 6-week course provided by Carol from MSU Extension. This program aims to help adults improve their nutrition and make small changes for a lifelong impact. Over the course of the 6 lessons we will discuss: reducing sugar, sodium and fat; healthy drink options; healthy options as a lifestyle; increasing physical activity; and healthy meals on a budget.
