The Medical Loan Closet is a program in which medical equipment is lent to seniors recovering from illness or injury. Most equipment is received used on a donation basis. It is cleaned and checked to make sure that it is in good working condition.
Equipment Types
Hospital Beds, power wheelchairs, transfer benches, walkers, wheelchairs, transport chairs, shower chairs, shower benches, commodes, canes. Disposable items such as adult undergarments (sizes and styles vary) blue pads, liners/booster pads. Miscellaneous other medical supplies available. Please call to check for availability.
Requirements
60 or Older and a resident of St. Clair County.
Lending Period
As long as needed.
Fee/Cost
No cost. Requirements stated above must be met.
Donations
Donations of medical supplies are always welcome; however, we have limited space so large items such as hospital beds, powerchairs and lift chairs may not be always accepted. All equipment must be working, and hospital beds must have a mattress. We cannot take unused prescription drugs, tube feeding supplies, or diabetic syringes.
