Diamond Painting Group on Wednesday, May 10 and Wednesday, May 22 at 12:30 p.m. Bring your projects into the center to work and socialize as a group or learn how to diamond paint with the Center’s community diamond painting project of the month. Great way to learn tips and tricks from other diamond art enthusiasts.

Diamond Painting Discount Store. Due to the overwhelming popularity of Diamond Painting and items being hard to find and overpriced at hobby stores, the Yale Senior Center has started an inhouse store where anyone can purchase kits, tools and finished projects. We have kits with different sizes (small to large); styles (men, women and children’s interests); and types (pictures, keychains, stickers, clocks, and more). Come out and visit or call for more information at 810-387-3720.

Perler Bead Crafts. The Kids Craft Center at the Yale Bologna Festival was so popular last year that they have asked us to come back. This year’s festival theme is 1950’s so we will be adding 1950 Cartoon Characters to our booth. We need Volunteers/Crafters to learn how to make and iron the perler bead keychains, so we can help everyone make them during the festival. Learn how to do the crafts on May 5 and May 19 at 12:30 p.m.

Yale Mini Trips:

  • June 5 at 9:30 a.m. Shopping in Sandusky & the Mennonite Store
  • June 19 at 9:30 a.m. Mystery Lunch Trip.

Senior Project Fresh Coupons will be available on June 22 from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. at the Yale Senior Center.

Annual Rummage Sale donations will be accepted starting June 26. Rummage Sale items should be CLEAN and NO CLOTHES ARE ACCEPTED. Volunteers are needed to sort and price items. Contact us at 810-387-3720.

The Yale Bologna Festival Kid Zone - Pixel Art. The Pixel Art Booth was extremely popular last year so we need your help. During the 2022 Yale Bologna Festival we ironed over 230 characters in 10 hours. Starting on June 7 at 1:00 p.m. we will be teaching how to make pixel art characters. Volunteers are needed to iron, set up kits, sell and help kids during the festival in July. This year's theme is 1950's cartoons, but we will also have modern characters. Contact the Yale Senior Center with any questions at 810-387-3720.
